Working hard

Charlotte and I are at John and Julie's and we are all working away.
Julie is preparing a lecture on the writing process for the class she is teaching.
John is working on a keynote presentation for copyright and photo rights.
Charlotte is working on an internal assessment for he IB course and is not liking T.E. Lawrence from a personal standpoint.
I am frantically trying to finish two projects due Tuesday so I can begin to read the volumes I must before I arrive in Boston next week.
The sky is a beautiful Ohio sky, and the blue beyond connects us all:
The bluebirds outside remind me that it all is fine!:

Blog Logistics

So I don't know about others but I have not been able to put up a new post (could only comment) on the blog so I got into the admin settings and found only Courts and Isabella had 'rights' to post new blogs. So i sent invites again to everyone and if you accept and do the next couple of steps I think it will work now. Let me know!! Hope everyone is having a good weekend. I am working in Ashland this weekend but am unable to watch the Bucks game today as the local cable company doesn't carry the silly channel broadcasting the game today!!

Love All!!!

My first contribution to Mountain Project, one of my proudest first ascents. Jason and I did this route on Sunday... So psyched!

Rescue

Rescue in the sandias, Jason worked with this guy a few years back while he was teaching in Santa Fe. Nice dude. Unbeknownst to me, as I was doing my first 5.11 trad multi pitch only two canyons away, this guy was solo climbing the thumb, a prominent pillar in our mountain range. On the descent, after an insane afternoon of sideways rain and hail, he lost his footing and slipped to his death. Over 72 hours of searching which included canine units, APD, AFD, and local mountain rescue teams until he was finally found. "The mountains are not cruel, nor are they kind. They are indifferent. They don't care about you, your dreams or aspirations... your life. They take and give as they please knowing they alone rise to the Gods."
From Dad: Hi everyone (all my children)!! I hope all are having a wonderful holiday weekend. We are enjoying Mackinac Island, staying at the Grand Hotel - eating, drinking, biking, walking (pretty much in that order!) Just got back from a very warm biking trip around the island (an easy 8 mi) - very enjoyable. Time for showers and relaxing. There is actually a Jazz Festival at the Grand this weekend - not exactly a jazz fan but the groups play right out on the lawn and overall are pretty good.
Courts i want some of these calorie negative foods - what are they? If watermelon is one, me no like!! Yucky!

Love to all. Dad
